Description: Hedge funds that are gearing up to invest in distressed assets may enter into credit, equity, property or other derivatives as part of their investment and hedging strategies. As a result of market volatility, negotiation of the ISDA master agreements governing these derivatives has taken on new importance. This presentation will provide a sophisticated overview of derivatives issues facing hedge funds on the business as well as the legal side. The first part will address the business issues typically encountered in negotiating ISDAs. The second part will address current issues in the credit default swap markets, and how those issues may affect hedge funds.
