Presenter Bios
Gretchen Jankowski is a member of the Firm’s Board of Directors, a Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Litigation Section at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. Gretchen’s has a national practice with a depth of experience in complex commercial and business disputes, antitrust and trade regulation, class action defense, unfair competition, false advertising, franchising, securities across numerous industries including technology, healthcare, energy, aerospace, consumer products and manufacturing. She has tried jury, bench, and injunction cases across the country in multiple state and federal courts as well as in private arbitrations, secured favorable settlements for clients, and has handled significant, bet-the-company litigation matters.
Michael McLaughlin Co-leads Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Group. He guides clients through complex technical challenges and the evolving legal landscape of cybersecurity, data privacy, and artificial intelligence. Michael works closely with clients on an array of technology-related matters—ranging from the implementation of artificial intelligence and data protection strategies to responding to complex cybersecurity incidents, ensuring compliance with regulations and mitigating risk. A veteran Naval Intelligence Officer, Michael served as Senior Counterintelligence Advisor for United States Cyber Command and Chief of Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence for the Department of Defense’s Cyber National Mission Force. With his extensive experience in cyber defense and national security, Michael is adept at handling complex legal and regulatory issues arising in the evolving digital ecosystem.
Jennifer Oliver is Counsel, Litigation and a member of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s Cybersecurity and Data Privacy team. She is an experienced commercial litigator, specializing in defending consumer class actions including website and other types of privacy cases. She has experience litigating numerous class action and individual complex commercial litigation and privacy matters including major antitrust cases and serving as court appointed class counsel in one of the first major CCPA class action settlements. Jennifer is admitted to practice in NY, NJ and CA, and is a certified privacy professional through the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
