Description: Today, cyber threats are ubiquitous across businesses and borders. The increasing integration and subsequent dependence on digital devices in private and professional life amplify the vulnerabilities that malicious actors can exploit through cyber-attacks and data breaches. While these issues begin in the realm of technology, they can rapidly spread to affect data privacy, intellectual property, financial loss, and reputational damage, and increasingly extend into legal and regulatory repercussions. Knowledge of the current cybersecurity landscape, organizations’ biggest vulnerabilities, and an overview of the existing and developing regulatory landscape, will enable legal professionals to better understand their role in preventing and responding to cyber threats.
