Speaker and Bio: Gary J. Ross is the founder of the corporate law boutique Jackson Ross PLLC, which caters to the legal needs of startups and private equity funds and investors in each. Jackson Ross clients include AngelList, Hedgeable, and Serval Ventures. Prior to founding Jackson Ross, Mr. Ross worked in the corporate transactions and securities practice groups at Sidley Austin in New York, Alston & Bird in Washington DC, and Holland & Knight in Atlanta. From 2009 to 2012, Mr. Ross served in the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where he oversaw contractors and financial agents engaged by Treasury to provide asset management and advisory services relating to the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). Mr. Ross teaches Continuing Legal Education programs on securities law and capital-raising, and is a frequent speaker on ethics for legal practitioners. He has been quoted in articles in the New York Times and the Associated Press.
