Description:
This lecture is prepared to assist the trial attorney in how to convince jurors that they should vote in favor of his/her client. It will provide you with “approaches”; “techniques”; and “lines” that you can utilize to aid you in winning your case; how to cross examine a witness in such a way so as to lead the witness to believe that his response is bad for your case when, in fact, it is helpful. And how to appeal to the juror’s sentiments, by the use of emotion while delivering your closing argument.
Robert Spadaro was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended public elementary and high school there after which he attended the University of Notre Dame followed by St. John’s University School of Law. He joined the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant DA where he remained for eight years. He then moved onto the civil side, mostly for the defense in negligence actions. He worked briefly for the firm of Morris Duffy Ivone & Jensen learning the CPLR. He then moved onto Garbarini Scher & DeCicco, where he was immediately trying cases. He remained there for 2 years, then started his own practice in lower Manhattan, where he remained for 34 years. Robert has taken 155 jury verdicts encompassing all counties of the City of New York, upstate New York, and the Federal Court. He is a Certified Faculty Member of the National Academy of Continuing Legal Education (NACLE) where he lectured on trial practice, and on pre-trial procedures.
