Description:
What does it mean to zealously advocate? When does an attorney cross the line of zealous advocacy and bullying? How do you respond to an aggressive, unethical opposing counsel? This seminar will explore many areas of civility and other attorney misconduct.

The seminar will discuss key principles of professionalism and use real-life scenarios to teach you what not to do in your practice. The seminar will go through the Rules of Professional Misconduct, including but not limited to, Rules 1.1 – 1.3 and 8.4. The seminar will also discuss the legal professions move toward civility. Attorneys are starting to be held accountable for not only their legal actions, but also their demeanor in and out of the courtroom. You do not want to be on the receiving end of a malpractice lawsuit, or even worse, a disciplinary complaint solely due to your demeanor.
