Litigation by corporate and governmental whistleblowers has been increasing exponentially, creating opportunities for whistleblowers and headaches for their corporate and government employers. Designed for attorneys involved in the litigation, this program provides insight and guidance on how to use the whistleblower laws to effectively represent employees and businesses and work with the government.

This 90-minute webcast provides attorneys with a general overview of the various governmental whistleblower statutes, the mechanisms for prosecuting and defending these types of cases, and the anti retaliation protections for corporate whistleblowers.

The program is presented by a balanced faculty consisting of experienced whistleblower counsel for plaintiffs and for defendants and a current federal prosecutor. They provide an overview of the major whistleblower provisions of the False Claims Act, the Dodd-Frank Act (including the SEC Whistleblower Program and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission Whistleblower Program), and the IRS Whistleblower Program. The panelists also discuss strategies for investigating and preparing whistleblower submissions to the various governmental entities, how the government processes and evaluates these submissions, and best practices for companies to utilize when addressing whistleblower disclosures and retaliation issues.
