Life is full of surprises. Some are welcome, and some aren’t. Whether you’re just starting out or celebrating 25 years helping clients, if you’re a small firm or solo practitioner, an event that interrupts your practice could put an end to it if you don’t have a plan in place.
The good news? You can take steps now to protect yourself, your clients and your practice. This practical program is intended to provide guidance and action-based checklists so that there are controls in place if you need them. This is a program no small or solo practitioner should miss!
Representatives from the Office of Bar Counsel and the Law Office Management Assistance Program will share first-hand experience, identify issues, and provide protocols and succession planning tips for you and your practice.
Topics to be discussed include:
What you need to do in the event you are suddenly unable to work or need to attend to an important personal issue. What plans you need to have in place so others are ready to step in if needed. How to structure your business operations to ensure there is a plan to attend to critical client needs, guard against malpractice issues, protect your employees and shield your family.
If you intend to take a course for CLE credit, please make sure your state is listed in the "Accreditation" section to the upper right of the program description. Accreditation displayed is unique to the purchased program format (live conference, live webcast, on demand, podcast). Credit totals listed for live conferences are the maximum credits available. Credits issued will be based upon actual time in attendance. Credit totals for other formats are for complete programs. Partial credit is not available for any online or downloadable format.
West LegalEdcenter will not provide accreditation for states not listed.
