This program will offer attorneys a practical introduction to the subject of advocacy and lobbying, with an update on the past year's events and changes in the law. Attendees will gain an overview of the processes and jurisdiction of the legislative bodies. The panel will cover the nuts and bolts of how to build an effective advocacy campaign -- and how to do so within the law. The speakers will cover the process from preparing to ask a member of the legislative body to introduce a bill, drafting legislation, becoming involved in pending legislation and how best to support or oppose a bill.In accordance with the CLE Board’s revised Regulations and Guidelines, if you attended this program in the past you may not be permitted to apply the CLE credit for this program to fulfill your current CLE requirements.
