Government agencies accomplish many of their responsibilities through a variety of contracting mechanisms. You will learn about legal and policy requirements that present unique challenges in government contracting and some best practices for handling contract documents and monitoring contract performance.

Suzanne Shaw is a former assistant attorney general and senior counsel for the state of Washington Attorney General’s Office. Her 20-year public practice centered on open government, administrative law, constitutional law and government contracting, with an emphasis on IT procurement. Shaw is now in private practice with Gallitano & O’Connor LLP, a nationally-recognized law firm that represents public and private sector organizations and businesses in technology and outsourcing transactions.
