This session will be the first public presentation of the complete results of the LegalBizDev Survey of Alternative Fees.
This webcast will explore how AmLaw 100 firms are structuring alternative fees, including tactics that are sustainable and make business sense for both sides.
From June to September 2009, senior decision makers from 37 AmLaw 100 firms were interviewed about what works for alternative fees, and what does not. Participants included 9 chairmen and managing partners, 16 executives (primarily CEOs, CFOs, and CMOs), and 22 senior partners, many of whom headed alternative fee committees.
The session will review the results of this research, including:
Differences between practice groups
Alternative fee revenue, now and in the future
What clients want
Aggressive vs. conservative bidding strategies
Nine common types of alternative fees, and how they are used
Expert predictions for the future
Recommendations for large law firms, for small ones, and for inside counsel
A complete report of the survey results will be released around the time of this webcast. Purchasers of this webcast will receive a copy of the Preview Edition of the report plus a $50 discount good toward the purchase of the full report. The discount will expire on December 31, 2009.
