Description: As more and more individuals become fully vaccinated, the concept of digital vaccine passports may seem like a perfect solution to ensure safe work, travel and leisure activities. Implementation poses a number of issues, not only administratively, but in untangling the web of legal and business considerations if a company requires one to enter the workplace.

During this webinar, Fisher Phillips attorneys, Emily Litzinger and Alexa Hanlon will:
  1. explain the concept of a digital vaccine passport;
  2. discuss what the rest of the world is doing;
  3. explain privacy and ethical concerns; and
  4. provide best practices for employers to avoid legal backlash.

Emily Litzinger is a trusted advisor who guides employers through the intricacies of the ever-changing landscape of employment law. Emily’s experience as a litigator helps her anticipate potentially troublesome situations that can arise in the employment context. She regularly works with employers to develop preventative strategies to ensure compliance with employment laws and ultimately avoid the burdens associated with costly litigation.

Emily has been litigating workplace conflicts over the past ten years and has successfully defended large and small businesses in complex litigation in a wide-range of employment issues including non-competition, breach of contract, FMLA/ADA, sexual harassment and retaliation.

Emily is also an effective negotiator with an astute business acumen.  Understanding the impact of litigation and continued costs is key to a favorable resolution; and Emily works closely with her clients to enable them to make an informed business decision.

Alexa Hanlon is an associate in the firm’s Sacramento Office. She represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including the defense of claims involving workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, and wage and hour issues. Additionally, she provides advice and counsel to employers concerning workplace policies and practices.

Alexa graduated with distinction from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and was inducted into the Roger J. Traynor Honor Society. Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Alexa worked in healthcare law, defending and counseling hospitals and physicians throughout the state of California. Alexa is a problem solver whose litigation experience, coupled with her tenacity and sharp instincts, results in the successful representation of her clients.
