Description: Sexual harassment and sexual misconduct in the workplace are high profile issues for all attorneys and conducting prompt and thorough investigations into a “#metoo” claim is essential. Join Ann Kotlarski, who provides a nuts and bolts discussion for conducting proper investigations that can convince a jury (and your client’s other employees) that you have done the right thing, including: determining what to investigate; formulating an investigation plan; conducting interviews; assessing witness credibility; documenting the process; making recommendations; remediating wrongdoing; minimizing the likelihood of retaliation claims and avoiding similar claims in the future.

Presenter(s):
After 30 years as a successful employment and business/commercial trial lawyer Ann Kotlarski, Esq. brings her wealth of experience and skills to Judicate West to serve as an arbitrator and mediator. In her 3 decades as an associate, partner and rainmaker she has tried, arbitrated, and mediated hundreds of cases and implemented many in house ADR programs for clients. In practice, she earned the respect of her clients, colleagues and opposing counsel for her philosophy of limited discovery with a goal towards early resolution.
