Description: Are all drivers impaired by alcohol at a BAC of 0.080 g/100mL and over?  Are no drivers impaired by alcohol at BACs of less than 0.080 g/100mL?  What is the effect of the driver’s age on alcohol impairment?  Can some drivers have a BAC of more than 0.200 g/100mL and not show obvious effects of alcohol?  What is acute tolerance and how does it affect dram shop and over-serving cases?

These questions and many others will be discussed by Justice Rick Libman and forensic alcohol toxicologist James Wigmore in their fourth Webinar in the widely acclaimed series, “Forensic Aspects of Alcohol in Criminal and Civil Cases.”   Join Rick and James as they continue their Odyssey and steer safely between Charybdis (prosecution) and Scylla (defense) on this important issue of how does alcohol affect driving ability and at what BACs?  This issue has recently gained more importance as the US National Transportation Safety Board has recommended that the per se BAC for driving be lowered to 0.05 g/100mL.
