Legal and Ethical Duties on the advocate common law, law society obligations

Standard of competency case law standard of competency, examples of where standard of effective representation met or not met

Officer of the court explain the concept, examples of what is and is not permissible when defending your client, and when dealing with the opposite side; civility requirement

Conflicts of interest nature of conflicts in representation, common situations giving rise to them

Withdrawal of service proper basis for doing so, examples of breakdown in relationship, retainer issues etc.
