Description: The use of organic and other "green" claims such as "sustainable" are currently some of the most popular claims appearing on consumer products. Nowhere is this trend more evident than in the cosmetic and personal care aisles of drug stores and supermarkets across the country. However, despite the popularity of these claims, there is no clear standard governing their use. As a result, consumers are often unclear as to exactly what is meant by these various claims.
Please join Sarah Key, Esq. of Foley Lardner as she discusses current standards for various claims such as "organic" and "sustainable." In addition, the e-seminar will address the Federal Trade Commission's current reevaluation of its Environmental Marketing Guidelines, which are commonly known as the "Green Guides." Ms. Key will also cover the following topics:
- Current status of organic claims for cosmetics/personal care products
- Use of "sustainable" and other environmental claims
- FTC's Reevaluation of its "Green Guides"
