Description: Governor Walker recently signed into law several changes to Chapter 703 of the Wisconsin Statutes that will affect all condominium associations. These changes include the procedure for amending the Declaration, the limit on fees the association can charge at the time of sale for disclosure documents, changes to the Executive Summary as well as new requirements related to the obligation to provide payoff statements. In addition, recent amendments to Wisconsin’s Open Housing law adopted requirements relating to a disabled owner/resident’s request for a service or “emotional support” animal. This amendment will likely have a significant impact on
condominiums that have become inundated with requests for assistance animals. Please join us to discuss these trending topics and more!
