State regulation of municipal broadband networks can be a good thing. NCSL recently filed an amicus brief in the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of North Carolina and Tennessee, urging the court to overturn the FCC’s order pre-empting both states from regulating their own municipal broadband networks.
