Speaker:
John Poyser is a partner with the law firm Tradition Law LLP, Estates and Trusts in Winnipeg. He is also principal of The Wealth & Estate Law Group in Calgary. He sits as a member of the Worldwide Council of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He is also a past chair of the Wills, Estates and Trusts Section of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). 
 
John is the author of Capacity and Undue Influence, a textbook for Carswell dealing with will and gift challenges.  He is also the co-author of a textbook entitled Taxation of Trusts and Estates, A Practitioner’s Guide, now in its eighth edition, helping accountants and lawyers deal with income tax and planning issues arising out of trusts and estates, and the Trust Tax Return Guide 2014 Edition.
