The practice rules in many jurisdictions limit or unnecessarily restrict pro bono legal services provided by in-house counsel who are not licensed in the jurisdiction in which they practice but are permitted to provide legal services to their employer. Recently a number of jurisdictions have amended their rules to remove restrictions and empower more registered in-house counsel to provide desperately needed services. This webinar will explore various multijurisdictional practice rules, new developments, and ways pro bono supporters from law firms, legal departments, and public interest organizations can organize and work together to fashion local and nationwide solutions to promote greater pro bono participation.
