This session will kick off the Fundamental Series, which is a two-year program designed to offer an introduction to legal issues that arise during the life span of a tax-exempt charitable organization. The first year will focus on section 501(c)(3) public charities. The October 9th program will provide an overview of the general legal concepts applicable to tax exempt organizations, such as public versus private benefit, as well as the wide variety of charitable organizations.
