Description: Unfortunately, juror biases can play a role in any case on many levels. This program discusses the history of race and gender in the courtroom to better understand where we are today in the profession and where we still need to be. The course will also go into the psychology of race and gender stereotyping and explore identifying personal biases. When armed with this information the program will then consider how best to approach your case from jury selection to witnesses to arguments. It is only through these types of honest and frank discussions can we seek to answer key questions of where do biases come from? Are there still issues of equality in the courtroom? And as a litigator, how do I best present my case such that jurors concentrate on the evidence and not the presenter?
This is a replay of the December 28, 2011 webcast. A speaker from the original production will be available to answer questions.
