Now in its 34th year, this Institute is bringing together the finest from the SALT industry, both as faculty and attendees. This annual Institute has gained a nationwide reputation as one of the best SALT conferences in the country. Part 4 will address the following topics:

Cause & Effect? The Tax Gap & Increased Disclosures to the Public & Investors:
What are the economic and policy implications driving increased transparency and disclosures? This session will examine possible motivations behind the increased disclosure and reporting requirements.

Current Audit Issues Outside the Sales & Use Tax Area:
In this annual entertaining and fast-paced debate, Paul Frankel and Professor Richard Pomp will review the key cases from the past year, looking at issues presented across the country. They will examine cases addressing over-taxation, taxation without nexus, discrimination, and due process violations.
