Description:

About this Conference

Midwestern Law Firm Management-Chicago
Now in its third year, this unique one-day conference, sponsored by West LegalEdcenter, the College of Law Firm Management, the Association of Legal Administrators and the Chicago Bar Association, is designed to be a frank and candid discussion of the practice issues facing Midwestern law firms.
This year's focus:
  • Understanding the "new norm" for law firms in the wake of the recession and the changes in the market for legal services and their delivery
  • What the short, medium and long term implications of these changes are for firms
  • What steps smart firms are taking now to position themselves for future growth and success.
Our panel of experts drawn from consulting and law firm practice will examine and discuss trending data for the Midwestern legal sector and what it means for costs, fees and future business opportunities. They will also discuss innovative approaches firms are taking in terms of client service and delivery of services, technology and management. An added feature of this year's program will be the opportunity for participants and faculty to extend the discussion beyond the conference through a series of four web casts that take a closer look at related issues. The webcasts, along with an authoritative new handbook on law practice today by conference co-chair Edward Poll, Growing Your Law Practice in Tough Times are included in the price of registration. Don't miss this opportunity to understand the underlying forces that will shape the future of your firm and your practice.
