When a business issues a contract for goods or services to be used under a government prime contract, it becomes a subcontract. As a subcontract, the transaction may becomes subject to requirements imposed on the prime contractor by FAR and Agency Regulations. Use of flowdowns from the prime contract may cause contact by the Government with the subcontractor.
