However, smart post-Enron in-house counsel understand that they must be knowledgeable about the financial and accounting practices of their clients and recognize problem areas when they arise. The alternative may be to watch your company suffer the consequences if it goes astray. We’ll introduce you to the basics of finance and accounting, identify what financial red flags look like, and assist you to understand the underlying financial documents such as the corporate financial statement and its balance sheet.
