Description: In a May 2007 publication, the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) addressed unlawful discrimination against working parents and other caregivers. As a presidential candidate in 2008, Barack Obama stated that he would commit the government to enforcing those agency guidelines on caregiver discrimination. Now, under new leadership the EEOC has issued an April 2009 supplement called Employer Best Practices for Workers with Caregiving Responsibilities.
