Justice Antonin Scalia is an associate justice of the United States Supreme Court. His opinions are legendary for sharp insights, biting wit, and memorable phrasing. Tony Mauro, writing in Legal Times, says Antonin Scalia is "often viewed as the Court's best and most entertaining writer."

Bryan A. Garner is editor in chief of Black's Law Dictionary®, author of many books, and president of LawProse, Inc. He has taught advocacy to more than 90,000 lawyers over the past 18 years. The New York Times calls Garner "a silver-penned legal-writing specialist."
