Negotiating Effective Contracts: Developing Best Practices for Effectively Negotiating IP Contracts

This webcast is designed to make evaluating, negotiating, and drafting IP contracts must easier for law professionals and IP practice groups.

• In Part One of the webcast, our speakers will highlight key issues and contract terms that attorneys should look to negotiate up front as part of effective IP contract agreements, including trademark co-existence agreements. Knowledge of this information can help in-house counsel avoid contract problems and potential disputes that could arise post-execution of the contract.
• Part Two of the webcast will highlight the proper due diligence efforts needed to effectively negotiate IP asset purchase agreements. The speakers will guide the audience on what information needs to know before entering into an asset purchase agreement, including whether an agreement should be entered into at all based on a thorough due diligence assessment of the target company's assets. Viewers will all be alerts of key watch-outs to avoid when negotiating asset purchase agreements.
