This webinar will address the availability of business interruption coverage when a policyholder experiences a slowdown – as opposed to a complete cessation – of operations. This issue is important because policyholders purchase business interruption insurance coverage to cover them when they experience a loss in business income. Policyholders should understand how slowdowns may be covered by business interruption insurance coverage, especially in circumstances where insurance companies assert that a complete shutdown is necessary to obtain coverage. The webinar will review the purpose of business interruption coverage, the duty to mitigate losses, and various business interruption coverage forms. Business owners as well as in-house counsel will benefit from this presentation.
