But did you know that per se drug laws are often developed without clear scientific evidence for what detectable levels of a drug causes impairment in drivers? In this one-hour presentation, Dr. Jimmie Valentine will explain the detection process of drugs in the human body and why detection of a drug does not necessarily prove impairment. Labs often report levels of detection that have no physiological effect. By understanding the detection and reporting process you will be able to effectively defend your client against per se drug laws.
