A: The minimum required Internet connection is a 56K modem. High-speed Internet access, such as through a digital subscriber line (DSL), or a cable, T-1, or integrated services digital network (ISDN) line is recommended for improved performance.
Audio versions of programs are recommended if you are using a 56K modem. The quality of the video stream is dependent on the volume of Internet traffic at the time of transmission. It is not affected by your hardware, West, or West LegalEdcenter.
A: The requirements for West LegalEdcenter are:
- Intel Pentium II or compatible 200MHz processor
- Windows XP, 2003, Vista, or 2008
- Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 2 or Firefox 3.5 to ensure access to all programs and site features
- Windows Media Player 9.0 or later is recommended; Silverlight 2.0 is also compatible
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0 or later
- 64MB of RAM
- 100MB of available hard disk space
- 1024 x 768 video display with 16,000 colors (16 bit video)
- Sound card and either speakers or headphones
A: The requirements for West LegalEdcenter are:
- Mac OS X: Version 10.4.8+ (Intel Based)
- Safari 3.2 or Firefox 3.5 to ensure access to all program and site features
- Silverlight 2.0 or Flash 9
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0 or Mac OS X Preview
- 512 MB of RAM
- 100 MB of free hard drive space
- 1024 x 768 video display with 16,000 colors (16 bit video)
- Mac Sound card and either speakers or headphones
A: Windows ® Media Player is not fully compatible with the Netscape browser. If you use a Netscape browser, several important West LegaledCenter features will not operate correctly.
