Tuition Assistance For Continuing Legal Education Programs

West LegalEdcenter is committed to providing a tuition assistance program to legal professionals facing financial hardship. To help more legal professionals earn continuing legal education credits, we have tuition assistance available for live event, live webcast, and on demand programming.

Tuition assistance varies by product. Most live events are eligible for up to 50 percent assistance towards the applicable course fee. Online products (live webcast and on demand programming) are eligible for up to 100 percent tuition assistance.

Tuition assistance is limited. Participants receiving 100 percent tuition assistance on a program are limited to one program per year. Participants receiving up to 50 percent tuition assistance may take multiple courses at the discounted rate.

Application Procedures

Assistance is available to unemployed and underemployed attorneys, legal aid and government attorneys, judges or judicial clerks, law professors or students, law librarians, paralegals, employees of nonprofit or legal services organizations, and government contractors. Attorneys in private practice who seek to learn skills that will assist them in pro bono activities are also encouraged to apply.

Applicants must fill out the online form at the link below with a minimum of three weeks lead time before the date of the program (if a live webcast or live event).

If assistance is approved, you must build or verify your profile on our West LegalEdcenter site so that we may register you for the program. Creating a profile is free and we do not share our user information with any other businesses.

You will receive a reply indicating whether you have been granted assistance, along with registration instructions, within one week of the start of the program. Do not register for the program before receiving approval.

Individuals receiving tuition assistance are responsible for the other costs of attending a seminar or viewing online.

Assistance will not be granted for programs already purchased, and may not be used in conjunction with any other pricing discount or promotion.

The amount of available assistance is limited and West LegalEdcenter reserves the right to grant or deny assistance solely at its discretion.
